Robert "Bob" Cornejo 72, died
Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Galicia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born September 3, 1942 in Wellington, Kansas to Julian and
Mercedes (Ybarra) Cornejo. He served his country in the United States
Airforce. On January 22, 2000 he married Beverly A Snow and she
survives of the home. Bob was a retired self employed HVAC
technician. He enjoyed his work and taking care of his friends and
neighbors. One of Bob's joys was spending time fishing. He was a
loving husband, father and grandfather who was affectionately known
as "pops". His family was very important to him and he
looked forward to spending time with his loving family and many
friends.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of
the home; sons: Ed Cornejo, Jay Kelley, Eric Cornejo ( Alan
Arbuckle), Joe Kelley, Victor E. Cornejo, Theodore J. Cornejo (Ingrid
Ringsby), Tyler R. Cornejo, Carlos R. Cornejo and Brayden R. Cornejo;
daughters: Marcey A. Cornejo, Jenisa E. Cornejo, Janna (Aaron)
Madden, Samatha (Kenny) Shaffer, and Katie J. Cornejo; brothers:
Julian Cornejo, Gabe (Christine) Cornejo, Marcello Cornejo: sisters:
Sarah (Bob) Carrillo, Rose (Russ) Miller, Marci (George) Shaw,
Rosalee (Perry) Bueno. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his
parents, brother Al Ybarra and granddaughter Kailie.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m.
Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Church of Christ 1st. and Columbus in
Newton with Minister Buddy Aldridge presiding. Private family
inurnment will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations are suggested to the
Church of Christ in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
