HESSTON - Robby Sue Nebergall, 62, passed away on Oct. 11, 2011, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.  
She was born on Sept. 2, 1949, in Newton, the beloved daughter of Russell and Ruth Inghram Nebergall.
Growing up, Robby spent her time reading, sewing, knitting, and playing the piano, organ and marimba. She loved playing softball and fishing with her dad.
Robby graduated from Hesston High School in 1967 and Bethel College in 1972, where she received the Thresher Award. In late 1975, Robby was diagnosed with M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis). Robby enrolled in St. Francis Hospital School of Medical Technology and graduated in 1976. Robby worked as a cytotechnologist for 25 years, with five of those years being spent in the Wesley Medical Center "Fish Lab".
In 1987, Robby graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor of science in biological sciences and chemistry. In 1995, Robby earned her master’s degree in biological sciences. Robby moved to Hesston in 2000, still enjoying her computer and books.
Robby is survived by her mother, Ruth Nebergall; two sisters, Sally Fiedler of Salina and Peggy (Don) Regier of rural Newton, and many nieces and nephews.
Robby was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Judy Buchkoski.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 5, 2011, at the Schowalter Villa Chapel, 200 West Cedar in Hesston. Chaplain Amy Claassen will officiate.
