Irene May Chandler, Born August 21,
1931 in Saskatchewan, Canada and died August 25, 2015 in Newton, KS.
Her parents were Pete and Tilly Ratzlaff.
When she was in her teens her family
moved to Oregon where she graduated from high school. She then moved
with her family to Oklahoma. She attended college in Alva, OK. She
married Calvin Chandler July 19, 1952. He preceded her in death in
2012.
She is survived by sisters Louise
Buhler, Pierre, SD; Vera Fast, Reedley, CA; Joan Swinney, Portland,
OR and brother Cliff Ratzlaff of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also
survived by her children, Geri Ann (Richard) Judd of McKinney, TX and
Craig (Carole) Chandler of Adams NE. She has 5 grandchildren: Melanie
(Alan) Machost, McKinney, TX; Andy (Kelly) Judd, of Broomfield, CO;
Bethany Chandler of Houston, TX; Adam Chandler of Valley, NE and Alex
Chandler of San Antonio, TX. She has 6 great grandchildren: Tyler and
Allie Machost; Luke, Mara, Parker and Camilla Judd.
Private family interment will be held
at a later date. Memorials to Newton Habitat for Humanity or First
United Presbyterian Church in care of Petersen Funeral Home
