Obituary
Marian M. Ward, 84, died Wednesday,
September 2, 2015 at Newton Medical Center, Newton, KS.
She was born November 9, 1930 at
Delphos, KS to Walter and Sarah "Sadie" (Davidson)
Buffington.
She owned and operated Country Hearts
Arts and Craft Shop in Halstead, and also worked as a secretary at
Halstead Hospital, Guerdons Mobile Homes and Riblet.
She was a member of First Presbyterian
Church, American Legion Post 231 Auxiliary and Helianthos Club all of
Halstead, KS.
On June 6, 1948 she married Henry Allen
Ward at Delphos, KS, he preceded her in death January 4, 2003.
Survivors include daughters: Carol
(Dan) Holle, Julie (Bill) Crebs all of Halstead, KS; Susie (James)
Aber, Emporia, KS; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a
grandson: Brian Lee Holle, great-grand daughter Kensley Ann Holle;
brothers: Arthur, Noel, Robert and Eugene Buffington; sisters: Avis
Cooper, Betty Jean Buffington, and Patricia Farwell.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Halstead Cemetery with Pastor Brian
Harmon officiating.
Memorials may be given to Halstead
