Ruby Long (1941 - 2015)
Obituary
Ruby Long, 74, passed away Tuesday,
October 20, 2015 at her sister's home in Wellington, Kansas where she
has resided for the past six weeks, while under Encompass Hospice
Care.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00
P.M., Saturday, November 7th at the London Heights Baptist Church in
Kansas City, KS. Shelley Family Funeral Home of Wellington is in

Ruby Laura Long was born May 8, 1941
the daughter of Gus and Ella (Reiss) Stark in Newton, Kansas. She
grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1959. She
attended a year at Bethany Nazarene College and then moved to Kansas
City, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas City Business College in 1984
with a secretary certificate. Ruby worked as a secretary and file
clerk in various businesses in Kansas City. She enjoyed her dogs and
was an active participant in Kennel Club Dog Shows. She liked gospel
music and was faithful to her church.
Ruby is survived by her sisters: Norma
Gooch and husband John of Wellington, KS, and Ruth Goecks and husband
Dennis of McMinnville, OR; and a brother, Lewis Stark and wife Judy
of Newton, KS; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her
parents, her husband, Jack Carl Long and a brother, Arnold Stark.
