Obituary
Bennett L. " Ben" Holub, 56,
passed away November 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born on March
24, 1959, in Marion, Kansas. He was the youngest of seven children
born Ernest and Ruby (Thomas) Holub.
After graduating from Centre High
School, he attended Brown-Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. From
there he was employed by the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles in
Newton. True to family tradition, Ben joined the military, working as
a radioman for the United States Navy. He served six years. Returning
to Newton, he was employed by Hehr Glass for 18 plus years. He was a
faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
He is survived by five brothers: Dan
Holub of Marion; Terry Holub of Loogootee, IN; Frank Holub of Niles,
MI; Tim Holub Cheney; and Lin Holub of Galion, OH; one sister, Kathy
Budd of Pine, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday,
November 13, 2015, at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church
of Pilsen, with the Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the Funeral
Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the Pilsen
Cemetery. A Memorial Fund has been established for the Fr. Kapaun
Legacy Fund in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS,
