Obituary

Calvin E. Johnson, 85, died Friday, December 4, 2015 at Pine Village, Moundridge, Ks.

He was born September 17, 1930 at Halstead, KS to Irvin T. and Anna L. (Nightingale) Johnson.

A lifelong Halstead area resident , he was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS.

He was a farmer and dairyman and was a longtime bus driver for USD 440 Halstead Bentley Schools.

On December 23, 1951 he married Adalla Diane Nightengale at Scott City, KS. She preceded him in death January 3, 2007.

Survivors include daughters: Cynthia (Galen) Penner and Patricia (Roy) Unruh all of Halstead, KS; brothers Verle (Sophia) Johnson, Okolona, MS; Lynwood Johnson, Mountain Grove, MO; Galen (Roslyn) Johnson, Gallion, AL; Shirley (Delmar) Koehn, Faunsdale, AL; sister: LaDonna Hauder, Barnett, MO; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS with the family present from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 also at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead, KS.

Memorials may be given to Pine Village or Moundridge Manor in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.
