James Max Milne, 65, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at
Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.
He was born July 1, 1950 at Wichita, KS
to Orville James and Margaret Jane (Stamback) Milne. He was a lifelong Sedgwick and Halstead
area resident and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was a life member of Hicks-Davison
American Legion Post 268, Sedgwick, KS and served on the Ruth-Wilson
American Legion Post 231 Honor Guard, Halstead, KS. He was also a
member of Ducks Unlimited. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for the Wichita Water Department.
On March 17, 1973 he married Charlotte
Anne Venn at Sedgwick, KS, she survives. Other survivors include son: Chad (Erin
Scott) Milne, Lawrence, KS; daughters: Rachel (Jörg Weber) Milne,
Houston, TX; Kim (Jason) Evers, Lawrence, KS; grandchildren: Ina,
Anna, and Anders Weber; Elin Evers and Ethan Evers; and father:
Orville Milne, Sedgwick, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother
and a twin sister, Jane Ann Hill.

Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.
The family will greet friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Plymouth Congregational Church,
Sedgwick, KS with Pastor Craig Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside
Cemetery, Sedgwick, KS. Memorials may be given to Plymouth
Congregational Church or American Lung Association in care of Kaufman
Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.
