Qadrey Tolliver, 18, of Kempner passed
away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
Qadrey was born at Fort Benning, GA to
Shawn and Shirley (Manes) Tolliver. In December of 2006, The United
States Army brought the family to Fort Hood where Qadrey attended
school in Copperas Cove and Lampasas, graduating in 2015. She loved
basketball and played on the varsity team her last 3 years in
Lampasas. She later went to play on scholarship at Bethel college in
North Newton, Kansas. She also loved many other sports including
soccer and track & field. When she was 15 she received Sacrament
of Confirmation at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Qadrey is survived by her parents,
Retired CW3 Shawn and Shirley Manes Tolliver; brother, Qadir Rashaan
Tolliver; maternal grandparents, Victorina F. Manes and Lolito F.
Manes; paternal grandmother, Thelma L. Tolliver; uncles, Lovell Manes
and wife, Joyce, Petrich Tolliver and husband Steve Stone; aunt,
Shayra Tolliver and one cousin Benjamin Oz Manes, and a host of
extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove. A Rosary will be held at 5:30 with visitation following until 8 PM at Scott's Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at Noon at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen. Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove,
Texas is in charge of arrangements.
