Ivan "Dale" Meier
1920 - 2015 Obituary
Ivan "Dale" Meier, 95, passed
away on Friday, October 23rd at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Kansas.
Dale was born on April 25, 1920 to
Henry and Mary (Stamm) Meier in Halstead, Kansas.
He served in the U.S. Navy for three
and a half years as an Aviation Machinist Mate in the South Pacific
during World War II.
Dale was a superintendent for King
Construction Company of Hesston and a member of St. Luke Presbyterian
Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for
10:00 AM, Thursday, October 29th at the
First Presbyterian Church in Newton,
Kansas. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October
28th at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. The family will be present
from 6:00 -8:00 PM to greet friends during the visitation.
A graveside committal service, with US
Navy Military Honors, will be held at Greenwood Cemetery immediately
following the service.
