Michael LeManton, Jr, 46, passed away Tuesday (September 8, 2015) at his home in Newton.

Michael was born on March 21, 1969 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Michael LeManton, Sr and Cathy (Seymour) LeManton.

Michael was a graduate of Newton High School, the class of 1988. He worked for the City of Newton in the Sanitation Department. He loved to work out and enjoyed Old Cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

In 1997 he married Amy Modlin and they were married for 18 years prior to his death.

He is survived by his wife: Amy LeManton; children: Zach LeManton, Colby LeManton, Mitch Buchman, Bryan Buchman and Morgan LeManton; father: Michael LeManton, Sr and his mother: Cathy LeManton.

He was preceded in death by a son: Brett Buchman.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 11th, at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends at the chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., prior to the service.

A memorial has been established in Michael's name at First Bank of Newton.
