Catherine Soller
Catherine Soller, 74, died Thursday
(Aug. 3, 2006) at Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis campus in
Wichita.
Catherine entered the world with her
twin sister Frances Feb. 13, 1932, to Louis Capenzano and Evelyn
Adensan in Chicago.
She married Ronald L. Soller Sept. 30,
1960, in Denver.
Catherine worked at several stores,
including Sears and May D.F. upon relocating to Newton. She worked at
Bethel College for seven years in the food service department. She
also was a devoted homemaker and military wife.
Her hobbies were reading, studying the
Civil War, collecting stamps and attending flea markets with her
husband. The grandchildren kept her entertained and young in life.
Tug, her canine companion, was close to her, as well, and kept her
company.
Survivors include: her spouse, Ronald
L. Soller of Newton; a son, Ronald L. Soller Jr. and wife Kyline of
Newton; two daughters, Lorene V. (Soller) Stamps and husband Billy of
Newton, Lisa M. (Soller) Cooley and husband Allen of Towanda; a
sister, Evelyn Tousignant of Denver. Catherine had 14 grandchildren
and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
mother, Evelyn Adensan, her father, Louis Carpenzano and her sisters
Ernestine, Frances and Nancy.
The funeral service was at 10:30 a.m.
today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, with Pastor James Voth
officiating.
Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in
Florence.
A memorial fund has been established
with the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
