Obituary
J. Dean Roach, 86, passed away Saturday
(Dec. 5, 2015) at Wichita. He was born Sept. 24, 1929 at Glendale,
California, the son of Walter and Lyda Eubanks Roach.
He was raised and attended school in
California.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during
the occupation of Germany following WWII and later served in the
Korean War.
For 52 years he worked for Southwestern
Bell, retiring in 1989 as a supervisor for installation and repair.
He began his career in Wichita and later Augusta, and since 1974, in
the Newton area.
He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents
and a daughter, Connie Mavity.
He is survived by his wife Donna, of
Newton; sons J.D. and wife Becky Mavity, and Jeff Roach, all of
Newton; a brother, Howard, of Mission Viejo, California; and a
sister, Carolyn Carlson, of Murrieta, California; six grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and no
services are scheduled.
