Obituary
Maxine Genevieve Hall, 96, died Friday
(Sept. 25, 2015) in Cheney.
She was a retired teacher. She
dedicated her life to teaching, having taught in Halstead and Garden
Plain. She also served on the State Standards Board. Additionally,
she taught Sunday school, was an active member of the Order of the
Eastern Star and was an avid bridge player.
She is preceded in death by her
husband, Gerald "Bink;" son, Gerry; parents, Lawrence and
Beulah; sister, Lois; brothers: Andrew, Lemuel and Miles.
She is survived by daughter, Paula
(Terry) Voth of Cheney; daughter-in-law, Norma Hall of Belton,
Missouri; grandchildren Bryan Hall and Eric (Stacy) Hall of Lee's
Summit, Missouri, Matthew (Alyson) Voth of Cheney, Kate (Matthew)
Rohr of Wichita, Brooke (Eric) Brown of Fort Collins, Coloradom Mykal
(Amanda) Smith of Bear, Delaware, Isaac (Brandi) Smith of Arapahoe,
Nebraska; sisters-in-law: Marylin Sheffler of Olathe and Mary Jo Hall
of Halstead; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
Funeral service was scheduled for 11
a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 29, 2015) at Trinity United Christian Church,
Cheney. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Halstead Cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday (Sept. 27, 2015) at Wulf-Ast Mortuary.
An academic scholarship fund has been
established in her name.
