(June 29, 2011) at Schowalter Villa.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. Funeral service will be
at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials may be left with Hospice Care
of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.

Obituary: Wilbur L. Mosiman

Wilbur L. Mosiman, 91, retired farmer,
died on Wednesday (June 29, 2011) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
He married Betty DeGrado on May 7,
1990, in Newton. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle.
Wilbur attended Grace Community Church
in Newton. He enjoyed farm life and caring for his crops and
maintaining his John Deere tractors and equipment. Wilbur also
enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Betty
Mosiman of the home; daughter, Connie and Alvin Bates of Tuk, Alaska;
stepdaughters, Jan and Monte Zinn of Lenexa, and Joyce and Bernie
Schorn of Hawkins, Minn.; stepsons, Vince and Melanie DeGrado of
Hawkins, Minn., John and Diane DeGrado of Newton, and Jerry and
Deidre of Andover; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in his death by his
first wife, and three sisters and two brothers, Elsie Mosiman, Ruth
Balzer, Wilma Jean Motter, Reuben Mosiman, and Freddie Mosiman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday at Petersen Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from
6:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Steve Friesen will
preside. Burial will follow in the Hopefield Swiss Mennonite Cemetery
in rural Moundridge.
