Boyd D. Dubois (1944 - 2015)
Obituary
DuBois, Boyd D., 71, passed away July
2, 2015, at his residence as a result of an accident. He was born May
24, 1944, at Newton, Kansas, the son of Allen and Lucy (Whiteman)
DuBois.
He was a graduate of Whitewater High
School with the class of 1962. He attended Kansas State University.
He served his country with the National Guard Reserves. On July 3,
1965, he was united in marriage to Joyce M. Shepler, they made their
home in rural Valley Center. He farmed and raised livestock. He was
active with BB&B through Central Christian Church. He enjoyed
pitching horseshoes, sightseeing, and racquetball. He like to help
his kids as they showed cattle. His greatest love was for his family,
he enjoyed every moment he spent with them.
He was preceded in death by his
parents.
He is lovingly survived by his wife
Joyce of Valley Center; his children: Shelly DuBois-Hite and husband
Shawn of Valley Center; Shawn DuBois and wife Kiyoko of Wichita; and
Jackie Sokolski and husband Mark of Valley Center; a sister Louetta
Morse of Eureka; and 8 grandchildren: Bryanna Hite, Tanner Hite,
Erika DuBois, Nicholas DuBois, Carter DuBois, Rhys Sokolski, Ryley
Sokolski and Rhian Sokolski.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8
p.m., Friday evening, at Lamb Funeral Home of Whitewater. The Funeral
Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Central
Christian Church of Wichita (located at 29th & Rock Rd).
Interment will be in the Green Valley Cemetery of Furley.
