Jeanetta E. Farr 79, died Saturday (July 25, 2015) at Asbury Park in Newton.

She was born February 28, 1936 in Dickinson County to Henry J. and Ollie Lena (Riffel) Deines. On April 26, 1953 she married Stanley R. Farr in Chapman and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2012. Jeanetta along with her husband were members of the Peabody Community for nearly 60 years. Following retirement they moved into town in 1990. Jeanetta was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peabody and owned and operated Jeanetta's Beauty Salon in Peabody. She enjoyed joining her friends in games of golf or bridge. Jeanetta was known as a stylish lady and her family was very important to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.

Jeanetta is survived by her daughters: Brenda and Randy Hague of Newton, Jaclyn Voight of Leawood; sons: Gary Farr of Clearwater, Florida, and Daniel and Melanie Farr of Merriam; brother Dale and Linda Deines of Salina, and close cousin Lela Mae Riffel Trent of Wichita. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Randy Farr: son in law Brian Voight, sister Arlene Hubnik, and brothers Harlan and Lester Deines.

A celebration of Jeanetta's life will be 10 a.m., Wednesday (July 29, 2015) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Peabody. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in the Prairie Lawn Cemetery Peabody. A meal with the family will follow the cemetery service at the HUB in downtown Peabody.

Memorials are suggested to Peabody High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Asbury Park in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
