Newton - Rosalee I. Lindsay, 62, passed
away on Wednesday (Oct. 23, 2013) at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of
Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born on Jan. 24, 1951, in
Newton, the daughter of Lee and Julia Gomez Pina. Rosalee graduated
from Newton High School in 1969 and from Bethel College's School of
Nursing in 1972.
She was a registered nurse for 40
years, retiring in 2012. Rosalee had worked at Halstead Hospital for
23 years and Asbury Park for 17 years.
Rosalee is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Candee and Kevin McKinney; grandson, Jacob McKinney; her
mother, Julia Pina; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Stan
Estrada, all of Newton; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Kim Pina
of Amarillo, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father
and nephew, Jarrod Pina.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will
be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 26, 2013) followed by the Mass of
Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic
Church. Private family inurnment will be held at St. Mary's Catholic
Cemetery.
There will be no visitation or viewing
as cremation has been effected.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been
established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be
sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS
