Obituary
Dorathy C. Holzrichter, 96, died on
Thursday (Feb. 18, 2016) at her residence.
She was born February 11, 1920, at
Burrton, KS, to George H. and Mary M. (Berger) Sabin. She was a
lifelong Burrton area resident.
Following her graduation from Burrton
High School, Dorathy attended Salt City Business College in
Hutchinson, KS. She was a homemaker, and from 1970- 2010 she was the
assistant librarian at the Ruth Dole Memorial Library, Burrton, KS.
She was a very active and faithful member of Burrton First Christian
Church.
On December 22, 1940, she married
Abraham Harold Holzrichter at Burrton, KS. He preceded her in death
Jan. 7, 1999.
Survivors include sons: Nick and Kirby
(Marlys) Holzrichter, all of Burrton, KS; Daughters Nancy (Ron)
Krehbiel, Burrton, KS; Shirley (Rob) Mackey, Alexandria, VA; sister:
Thelma Holzrichter, Burrton, KS; 13 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. with the
family present from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Kaufman
Funeral Home, Halstead, KS.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.,
Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Burrton First Christian Church with Rev.
Charles Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Burrton Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Burrton First
Christian Church or Ruth Dole Memorial Library in care of Kaufman
Funeral Home.
