Obituary

Grace Goering Voth, 99, passed away Saturday (Feb. 20, 2016) at Pine Village in Moundridge. She was born Aug. 15, 1916 in Moundridge, the daughter of Jacob R. and Mary (Cornelson) Regier.

She married John L. Goering. He passed away. She married Marvin Voth. He passed away.

Grace was a homemaker and also helped with farming. She worked as a dietitian at Halstead Hospital and had a number of hobbies and interests. These included cooking, baking, gardening, quilting and sewing. She made quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and liked to work at the church on the kitchen committee.

Grace was a member of First Mennonite Church in Newton. She also enjoyed being a hostess to her family and many friends

Grace is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Glen) Buller of Fremont, Calif.; a son, Ivan (Linda) Goering of Sedgwick; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, John L. Goering and Marvin Voth; one son, Donovan; four brothers, Art, Edwin, Carl and Rueben; and one sister, Anna Holzrichter.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday (Feb. 24, 2016), at Moundridge Funeral Home in Moundridge. Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m., Thursday (Feb. 25, 2016) at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at First Mennonite Church in Newton.

Memorials may be sent to First Mennonite Church, Newton, in care of Moundridge Funeral Home.
