Kerwin K. Jantz
Kerwin K. Jantz, 87, died Friday (Jan.
5, 2007) at Via Christi-St. Francis (Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice) in
Wichita. He was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Goessel to Emil M. and Sarah
Jane (Holdeman) Jantz. Jantz was a retired machinist. He married Elda
(Koehn) Siemens April 26, 1981, in Newton. He was a charter member of
Faith Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife of Newton; sons,
Donald R. Jantz of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepsons Robert Siemens of
rural Sedgwick, Harvey Siemens of Valley Center and Dennis Siemens of
Newton; Carol Hiebert of Newton; sister Beryl Isaak of Inman; eight
grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; and 22
step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first
wife, Rosella (Janzen) Jantz, who died in 1980; brothers, Mildred and
Winston; sister Floris Miller; and grandson-in-law Wayland Keeney.
Funeral services will be 2 p. m.
Tuesday at Faith Mennonite Church with Pastor Gordon Smith
officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Garden of Memory (west of
Newton on US. Highway 50).
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Today with family present from 6 to 8 pm. At Miller Funersl Home in
Hesston. Memorials may be made to the Faith Mennonite Church
Landscaping Fund or Harry Hynes Memorial Hopice.
