Carol Gruhle
WILLIAMSBURG - Carol Gruhle, 64, died
Monday (Jan. 15, 2007) at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe. She was
born Jan. 31, 1942, in Riley to Clifford and Velma (Dixon) Hudson.
She lived in Williamsburg since 1999, moving from Newton. She was a
homemaker. She was a member of the Williamsburg Supper Club,
Williamsburg Women's Club, Bible study groups and regular attendee at
Williamsburg City Council meetings. On Dec. 31, 1970, Carol was
united in marriage with James Gruhle in Troy. He preceded her in
death on Aug. 15, 1997.
Survivors include daughters, Donna and
Sam Tipton of Williamsburg, Annie and Gary Clark of Moundridge, and
Terry Sartain of Newton; sons Ronnie and Cindy Sartain of Newton, and
Michael and Diane Gruhle of Wichita; brother Forrest and Wilma Hudson
of Wamego; sisters Glodean and Richard Bell of San Jose, Calif., and
Jolene and Jerry Walsh of Wamego; 11 grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband; father; mother; and brother Harold Hudson.
Cremation is planned. A private family
inurnment will be at a later date at Tuttle Creek Cemetery in
