Forrest B. McGrew
WICHITA - Forrest B. McGrew, 76, died
Friday (June 9, 2006) at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. He was
born on Feb. 24, 1930, to Lewis Andrew and Vina (Richey) McGrew in
Gainsville, Texas. They preceded him in death. He worked in the
laundry at Wesley Medical Center for many years. He also interpreted
sign language for the deaf and hard of hearing at the hospital.
Forrest enjoyed working in Yellowstone Park in Wyoming for seven
seasons and playing his banjo. Survivors include: his wife, Retta
McGrew of Wichita; a daughter, Janice and Keith Richardson of
Wichita; and grandsons, Brian Richardson and Kyle Richardson.
He also was preceded in death by: a
half brother, Louis McGrew; and a sister, Edna Madril.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m.
Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials have been established with
the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home.
