Harold D. Dill

Harold D. Dill, 73, died Jan. 6, 2007. He was born in Newton, the only child of John Louis and Florence Mae (Ford) Dill. He graduated from Newton High School in 1951. He received his master's degree in applied mechanics from Kansas State University. He was a structural research engineer and an MDC fellow with McDonnell-Douglas for more than 37 years. He had a lifelong interest in model railroading and, after retirement, built a beautiful layout in his basement. He had many other interests. Chief among them were helping family and friends, mission work, jogging and caring for his beloved pet, Bibi.

He was the beloved husband of Martha (Keyes) Dill; dear father of Deanna K. and William Rhinesmith, Sharon S. and Ed Booker, Linda L. Dill, and Kjrstini J. Lee; dear stepfather of Thomas E. and Anita Briggs; dear grandfather of 15; dear great-grandfather of two; and friend to many.

The service was held at an earlier date.
