Nina R. Holdeman

HALSTEAD - Nina R. Holdeman, 92, of Halstead died Friday (Jan. 26, 2007) at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. She was born March 21, 1914, in McPherson County to Frank Holdeman and Emma Overholt. She was a lifetime area resident. She was an employee of the Mennonite Central Committee Relief Center in North Newton for 35 years and a volunteer for the Et Cetera Shop in Newton. She was a member of the Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite Church in rural Hesston. She is survived by two brothers, Wilford Holdeman and Willard Holdeman, both of Moundridge; and two sisters, Emma Burns of Rio Verde, Goias, Brazil, and Twila Unruh of Halstead.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Noah, Lee, Archie and Adin Holdeman; and two sisters, Silvia Jost and Dorothy Boeckner.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Meridian Church of God in Christ, Mennonite Church in rural Hesston with Ministers Eldon Wegner, Linford Hodleman and Shawn Giesel officiating.

Burial will be in Meridian Church Cemetery in rural Hesston.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. today at Moundridge Funeral Home and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Meridian Church of God in Christ with family present.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mennonite Central Committee Relief Center in care of the funeral home.
