Dorothy S. Schrock
HESSTON - Dorothy S. Schrock, 96, died
Thursday (Nov. 3, 2005) in Hesston. She was born Sept. 24, 1909, in
McPherson County to Menno Z. and Susan B. (Miller) Troyer. She
married Leo M. Burkett Oct. 19, 1940. He preceded her in death in
1972. She married E. Freedley Schrock July 19, 1980. He preceded her
in death in 1991. She was a member of Whitestone Mennonite Church and
the Gideons Auxiliary. Survivors include: two sons, James and Kay
Burkett of West Liberty, Ohio, and David and Judi Burkett of Hesston;
a daughter, Mary and Jim Friesen of Hesston; 13 grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and four
stepchildren and their families by her second marriage, Marvin,
Dorothy, Ed and Eunice.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
today at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston, with family present from 6
to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m.
Sunday at Whitestone Mennonite Church in Hesston with Pastor Mark
Miller officiating.
Burial will be in West Liberty Cemetery
near Inman.
