Elda M. Penner
HILLSBORO - Elda M. Penner, 84, died
Nov. 13, 2005, at Kidron Bethel of North Newton.
She was born Aug. 30, 1921, in
Hillsboro, the daughter of John Goertz and Adelia Schmidt. She was a
homemaker.
She belonged to Trinity Mennonite
Church.
On April 17, 1941, she married Milton
Penner. He died in 1997.
Survivors include: four sons, Lawrence
and Ray A. Penner, both of North Newton, Clayton Penner, Newton, and
Stuart Penner, Hillsboro; a daughter, Roseann Penner Kaufman, Prairie
Village; a brother, Linferd Goertz, Ferndale, Wash.; a sister, Louise
Bartel, North Newton; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at
Trinity Mennonite Church, with Pastor Tim Kliewer presiding.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jost Funeral Home,
Hillsboro. Burial will be at 10 a.m. in Johannestal Cemetery, rural
Hillsboro.
Memorials may be sent to the church or
Bethel College, both in care of the funeral home.
