Hugo Hildebrand
ARVADAO, Colo. - Hugo Hildebrand, 81,
died Oct. 27, 2005, in Arvada, Colo. He was born in Manitoba, Canada.
He graduated from Bethel College in North Newton in 1952, and earned
a master's degree in social work from Chicago University. A resident
of Colorado since 1960, he and his wife, Donna (Balzer), recently
celebrated their 25th anniversary. He was a charter member of the
Arvada Mennonite Church, being very passionate about his faith and
peace issues. Hugo is survived by: his wife, Donna, her son, Donald
(Beverly) of Firestone, Colo.; his daughters Jeanne (Vince) Slyngstad
of Beaverton, Ore., and Shari (Jim) McWhorter of Everett, Wash.; and
six grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and three
sisters living in Canada, a brother-in-law, Richard (Marylin) Balzer
of Halstead; a sister-in-law, Carolee (Kenneth) Neufeld, of
Hillsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a gentle and caring person who
will be missed by many.
