Obituary
Jana Marie Young, 66, passed away
Sunday (March 6, 2016). Jana was born in Manhattan, Feb. 18, 1950, to
Keith and Evelyn Garrison. Jana was a loving mother to five children:
Kelly, Karen, Kasey, Becky and Kyler. Jana worked for the Defense
Contract Audit Agency and spent the majority of her career as a
federal employee. In retirement, she enjoyed needle point, quilting,
spending time with her grandchildren and serving in her church.
Jana was preceded in death by her
father, Harold Keith Garrison. She is survived by her mother, Evelyn
Garrison; husband, Ed Nelson; children Kelly Garcia, Karen Banister,
Kasey Young, Becky Nelson and Kyler Young; brothers John Garrison,
Russell Garrison and Glen Garrison; grandchildren Isabella Garcia,
Noah Garcia, Sadie Young and Ivy Kehoe; and a host of other loving
relatives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on
Wednesday (March 9, 2016) at First United Methodist Church of Azle,
200 Church St., Azle, Texas. Committal will be at 11 a.m. Thursday
(March 10, 2016) in Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton. Visitation
is 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in
Jana's memory may be made to careity.org, which is dedicated to
providing oncology services for economically-challenged cancer
patients.
