Obituary
Brenda Sue (Lee) Chamberlain died Jan. 3, 2016, in Newton.
She was born Feb. 14, 1958 to Mylo E. Jr. and Bonnie A.
(Shields) Lee in Newton.
Brenda was the third child of five children. She spent her
entire life in Newton. She attended McKinley Grade School, Chisholm Middle
School, and graduated from Newton High School, class of 1976.
Through high school, and several years after she worked at
the Chuck House Restaurant, where she met her future husband Tom Chamberlain.
Brenda started working at K-Mart in 1979, and stayed there for 23 years until
it closed.
Before she could find another profession it was discovered
that she had a brain tumor. It was removed, but had caused enough damage that
she could no longer stay in her home. Brenda moved into Kansas Christian Home,
and that has been her "Home" and extended family for nearly 11 years.
She was preceded in death by both parents.
She is survived by her husband Tom, and son Adam, of Newton;
Sisters, June Tinsley, Neodesha, Kansas, Marti Lee Verschelden of Newton;
Brothers, W. David Lee, and Dan Lee also of Newton; plus a "heartful"
of life long Sister friends; numerous nieces and nephews, also great nephews
and great nieces that she never really got to know but loved receiving their
pictures.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Her Life Service
will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 9 in the New Life Assembly of God Church, 818
Washington Rd, Newton
Family will meet and greet prior to the service, and also
afterwards.
Memorials may be made in her name to New Life Assembly of
God, Harry Hynes Hospice or Kansas Christian Home "Activities Fund."
