Marvin H. Buller
92, Newton
Marvin H. Buller, 92, died Wednesday,
May 8, 2013, at Newton Presbyterian Manor.
He was born Sept. 11, 1920, rural
McPherson County to Andrew and Lena (Goossen) Buller. On Oct. 10,
1941, he married Myrle N. Goossen in Newton, and she preceded him in
death on Feb. 14, 2010.
Marvin was a member of First Mennonite
Church in Newton. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for
Newton Township in Harvey County. Marvin enjoyed spending time with
his loving family and many friends. He was very well thought of and
loved by the Newton Presbyterian Manor staff.
He is survived by his daughter and her
husband, Janice and George Arnold of Hesston; sons, Lawrence and his
wife Amy Buller of Austin, Texas, and LeRoy and his wife Ruby Buller
of Newton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also
survived by brother-in-law, Ray Goossen, and sister-in-law, Hilda
Buller.
Marvin was preceded in death by his
wife, parents, two sisters and three brothers.
A graveside committal service will be
9:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Cemetery
in rural Goessel. A celebration of Marvin's life will be 11 a.m.
Monday at First Mennonite Church in Newton, with Pastors Joel and Kay
Schroeder presiding. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with the
family receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home in
Newton.
