Shirley Ann Strotkamp age 79, born October 12, 1935 passed away Friday May 1, 2015.

She was preceded in death by, Parents: Aloysius A. and Bertha E. (Weber) Strotkamp, Brothers: Vernon A. Strotkamp, Glen A. Strotkamp, & Victor I. Strotkamp. Her companion of over 50 years Frank C. Bowen. Nephew: Wayne Strotkamp and Niece: Linda Strotkamp.

Family Survivors include, Six Nephews, Two Nieces and numerous Great Nephews and Great Nieces.

Shirley lived her life in Peabody except two years in Michigan, where she worked for the telephone company. She worked at Hehr Glass in Newton Ks for 20 years and also bartended in Newton Ks. She worked as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. Shirley was best known for being a business entrepreneur. Much of her life she was the owner and operator of the Coneburg Inn in Peabody.

Shirley was also well known throughout Peabody for her generosity and her willingness to help people in need.

Funeral Service will be held Thurs. May 7, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Florence Ks at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody Ks following service. Visitation will be Wed. May 6, 2015 at Baker Funeral Home Peabody Ks from 5-7 pm.
