Orlando W. Voth
Orlando W. Voth, 90, Goessel, died Oct.
13, 2006, at Newton Medical Center. Born June 16, 1916, at Goessel,
he was the son of Peter J. and Susie (Schmidt) Voth. He was a
mechanic. On May 26, 1956, he married Virginia Casey in Newton. The
couple resided in Goessel. He was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church,
Flatlander Model T Club, Wichita Model A Club, Early V-8 Club and
Sunflower Model T Club. He was preceded in death by a daughter,
Rebecca Haile, sister, Amanda Voth, and brothers, Melvin and Ray.
Survivors include his wife of the home;
four sons, Robert Blackmore of Newton, Wesley Voth of Wichita, Galen
Voth of Oklahoma City and Brian Voth of Newton; two daughters, Janice
Winter of Wichita and Linda Schill of Paola; three brothers, L.M.
"Bud" Voth of Wichita, Clayton Voth of Warner Robins, Ga.,
and Bert Voth of Kansas City; four sisters, Myrtle Mohn of Hillsboro,
Ruby Funk of Newton, Maxine Bolte of Lompoc, Calif., Lillian and Bill
Brady of Clearwater; 19 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Oct 18, at
Tabor Mennonite Church, rural Goessel. Pastors Corey Miller and Karen
Andres officiated. Burial was in Tabor Mennonite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to Bethesda Home or Tabor Mennonite Church.
