Clyde D. Donovan
Obituary
WICHITA – Clyde D. Donovan, 84, passed away January 30,
2015, at his residence in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born August 29, 1930, in Golden, Colorado, the son of
Francis and Mamie (Lyon) Donovan. On May 17, 1953, he was united in marriage to
Rachel E. Barker.
In 1956, they relocated to Kansas for his job. He worked
until retirement as an A & P Mechanic for Boeing, he was even named Boeing
Employee of the Year.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Donovan; a son,
Duane Donovan; and 3 siblings: Walter "Mike" Donovan, Paul Donovan,
and Lois Grouns.
He is survived by his children: Diana Kuntz and husband
Dennis of Abilene; Gerald Donovan and wife Kristin Kuhn Ming, China; Linda
Donovan of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Mark Donovan and wife Leslie of
Wichita; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Stella Cheek
of Maxwell, Nebraska; Mamie Johnson of George, Iowa; and Eilleen Nass of
Mankato, Minnesota.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 03, 2015,
at 2:30 p.m., at the Grace Baptist Church of Whitewater. Interment was in the
Whitewater Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for Greenhouse for
Hope, in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater, KS 67154.
