Obituary

Melvin Klaassen passed away February 14, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Newton to Fred and Hannah Klaassen on March 9, 1926. Melvin married Donna Regier on August 31, 1947. They remained happily married until Donna's passing in 2011.

He is survived by two sons, Chuck and wife Liz Klaassen; K. John and wife Valerie Klaassen; two daughters, Linda and husband Gary Harms; Ellen and husband Rex Byergo; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation with family greeting friends at Kidron Bethel Health Care Center in Menno Hall on Friday, February 20, 2015, from 6-8 pm. A memorial service to honor Melvin's life will be held at Grace Hill Mennonite Church on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 11 am.
