Eunice L. Anderson
Eunice L. Anderson, 82, died Tuesday
(June 26, 2007) in an adult foster care facility in McMinnville, Ore.
At her request no services will be held. Arrangements provided by
Macy & Son Funeral Directors. Born in Great Bend, on Nov. 13,
1924, she was the daughter of Carmen Christopher and Francis
(Frisbie) Blankenship. She grew up in Great Bend and received her
nurses training at Axtel Christian Hospitals in Newton, and Wichita.
She served as a nurse in the Cadet Corps during W.W. II. She married
Paul Anderson on July 4, 1946, in Newton. The couple moved to Seattle
in 1957, to Corvallis in 1969, to Pasadena in 1983, and to
McMinnville in 1992.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and
entertaining. She was a member of the Church of God, An International
Community.
"Her example of caring for her
family, her compassion for other and her faith in God will be greatly
missed by all," the family said.
In addition to her husband, Mrs.
Anderson is survived by two sons, Chris of Pasadena and John of
Huntington Beach, Calif.; four daughters, Fran Siebert of
McMinnville, Mary Campbell of Aumsville, Nickie Johnson of Rochester,
Wash., and Joy Vail of San Leandro, Calif.; a brother, Jerry
Blankenship of Placentia, Calif.; two sisters, Winifred Hague of
Topeka, and Vivian Morford of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two
brothers, Leon and Kent.
