Ruth Ann Dirks
Ruth Ann Dirks, 82, died Sunday (July
18, 2004) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton. She was born
July 28, 1921, to August John and Clara (Hirschler) Brubacher in
Perry, Okla. They preceded her in death. She married B. Marlo Dirks
March 6, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio. He preceded her in death Oct. 10,
2000. She was a member of Bethel College Mennonite Church in North
Newton. She was a graduate of Moundridge High School and was a
homemaker and nursery school director.
Survivors include: two sons, Richard
Dirks of Hereford, Ariz., and John A. Dirks of Cincinnati, Ohio;
three brothers, E. J. Brubacher of Newton, Jack Brubacher of Hesston
and Don Brubacher of Hesston; three sisters, Naomi Krehbiel and
Kathryn Stucky, both of North Newton, and Yvonne Dalke of McPherson;
two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an
infant daughter, Susan Dirks.
Family will greet friends from 5 to 8
p. m. Today at Petersen Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 10 a. m.
Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Heidi Regier Krieder of
Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton officiating.
Memorials have been established with
Bethel College Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
