David Winter
Obituary
David Winter, 83 died on January 16,
2015 at his home in Newton after a four year bout with cancer. He was
surrounded by his loving family. David was born the son of David and
Fay Winter. They precede him in death.
He was a former teacher and coach in
Newton. In 1955, he married Maureen Burt, and together they raised
their family of four children.
Surviving him is his loving wife,
Maureen; sons, David (Connie) Winter, Newton, and Steve (Kristen)
Winter, Longview, TX, daughters, Mary Kay McFarlane, Newton, and
Karen (Rich) Linville, Kansas City, MO; 15 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his
son-in-law, Rick McFarlane.
Visitation will be at Broadway Colonial
Funeral Home, from 1 to 5 p.m. on January 20th. Recitation of the
Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 20th at 7:00 P.M. at St.
Mary's Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held
on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 10:30AM at St. Mary's
Catholic Church. Father James Mainzer
will be presiding.
Burial will follow at the St. Mary's
Catholic Cemetery in Newton, Kansas.
