Mildred Ellen Zuercher
1914-2015
Mildred Ellen Zuercher, 100, formerly
of Whitewater, died Friday (Jan. 9, 2015) at Newton Medical Center.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1914, on the
family farm near Whitewater, the daughter of Ida (Roth) and Arnold
Zuercher.
She had been a school teacher for 41
years in the Wichita school district. Mildred loved gardening,
playing the piano and organ, as well as being with her nieces and
nephews, but she especially loved her Lord and Savior, serving Him
however she could.
Survivors include her brothers, Elwood
Zuercher of Whitewater and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be
deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.
Mildred was preceded in death by her
parents; brother, Don Zuercher; sisters, Alma Thierstein and Vernelle
Androes; and brother-in-law, Paul Androes.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.
Tuesday (Jan. 13, 2015) at Swiss Church in Whitewater. Interment will
be in Swiss Church Cemetery, near Whitewater.
Friends called on Monday at the funeral
home, where the family received friends.
A memorial has been established with
