Bert C. Fox
Bert C. Fox, 78, died Friday (Nov. 7,
2008) at his home in Newton. He was born on March 14, 1930, in
Wichita, the son of Sarah LaDora (Hladik) and Theodore Lawrence Fox.
On Oct. 2, 1948, he married Alice Faye Noble, his high school
sweetheart. They were married 59 years and shared many happy memories
during this time. She died on Dec. 16, 2007. He loved spending time
with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include a son, Bert Alan Fox and wife, Fawn, of Newton;
two daughters, Jan Hanna and husband, Mike, of Newton, and Karen
Driskill of Wichita; eight grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; spouse; and a sister, Flora Faye.
A book signing will be from 9 a.m. to 7
p.m. today at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
Memorial service will be at 3 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
There will be no inurnment at this
time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to Caring Hands Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
