Obituary
Wenley "Bergie" Bergman, 86,
of Newton, passed away April 5, 2016. He was born to Minnie (Jantz)
and Bernie Bergman on Jan. 9, 1930, in Durham, at the family home.
Wenley married Florene (Unruh) Bergman
on Aug. 3, 1952. Together, they had two children, Stephanie and
Douglas.
Wenley was devoted to his family, and
will be deeply missed by many. He is preceded in death by his wife,
Florene Bergman; grandson Ryan Bergman; mother Minnie (Jantz)
Bergman; and father Bernie Bergman.
He is survived by his daughter,
Stephanie and husband Rick Firner; son Douglas and wife Renee
Bergman; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 5
p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Peterson Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral Services will be held at 10
a.m. Monday, April 11, 2016, at First Mennonite Church of Newton.
Memorials may be made to Meals on
Wheels or Caring Hands Humane Society of Newton.
