Donald B. McGuire
Donald B. McGuire, 74, 214 West 26th,
died Friday (Dec. 19, 1997) at his residence in North Newton.
He was born July 25, 1923, in Lewis to
J. W. McGuire and Francis Smith McGuire. He married Alma Michael Oct.
20, 1969, in rural Florence. She survives of North Newton.
He was a member of the East Side United
Methodist Church. He served with the US Air Force during World War II
in India and the Phillipines. He was a teacher and coach for many
schools in Kansas.
Other survivors include: four sons,
Terry McGuire of Cheney, Mike McGuire and David McGuire, both of
Wichita and Mark McGuire of Albuquerque, N. M.; one daughter,
Patricia Ramsey of Kingman; 17 grandchildren; and seven
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one
sister, Joan Secrest.
Funeral services will be at 1 p. m.
Monday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Janine Arnold
from East Side United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in
the Sylvia Cemetery in Sylvia. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p. m.
Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Memorials have been established with
the Central Homecare and Hospice, Inc., or East Side United Methodist
Church, in care of the funeral home.
