Obituary
Georgie Ann Schmidt, 82, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 26,
2014, at Asbury Park.
She was born Dec. 18, 1931, at Hillsboro to John LW and
Marie (Ewert) Regier. On June 5, 1949, she married Allen R. Schmidt. He died
Dec. 5, 1977.
Surviving are four children, Larry and Carol (Funk) Schmidt
of Newton, Deb and Dale Winter of Peabody, Kevin and Lisa (Prouty) Schmidt of
Sedgwick and Rex Schmidt of Newton; six grandchildren, Larry Jr. and Tammy
Schmidt, Brandon Schmidt, Randy and Charissa Winter, Bob and Rachel Winter,
Melissa Schmidt and Samantha Schmidt; 15 great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eululia and Jim Flaming; and sister-in-law,
Marion Regier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen;
brother, James; and sister, Vernetta.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at
Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Peabody. Visitation was Monday and from 9:30 to 10:30
a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Baker Funeral Home in Peabody.
Memorial suggestions are Rescare or Asbury Park, both in
Newton.
