Alice M. Schmidt
Obituary
MOUNDRIDGE - Alice M. Schmidt, 88, died July 11, 2014, at
Pine Village.
She was born May 25, 1926, at Newton to William and Mary
(Sheffler) Stahl. She was a homemaker. She marred George R. Schmidt on Dec. 29,
1947, at Moundridge.
He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1997. She was preceded
in death by three brothers, August, Elmer and Harry Stahl; and one sister, Ella
Janzen.
Survivors include three sons, David, James and Ronald, all
of Moundridge; brother, Carl Stahl, Newton; one sister, Clara Ortman,
Moundridge; and nieces and nephews.
The committal service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the
West Zion Church Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the
West Zion Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6
until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations
be given to the church or Pine Village.
