Obituary

Janelle H. (nee Anderson) Nolte, 90, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2014.

Born in Elgin, Neb., she lived in Newton for more than 40 years before settling with her daughter and family in Harrington Park, N.J., in 2008.

Beloved wife of the late Henry A. Nolte (2000). Loving mother of son, David and daughter, Judy Hunter and her husband, Joe. Cherished grandmother of Alix Hunter, Andy Kaslon and Susi Zavodny and her daughter, Emily, as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newton and a longtime member of the Friends of the Library. She belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star, PEO, and was a longtime volunteer with the YWCA in Grand Island, Neb. She was an accomplished quilter, enjoyed oil painting, sewing, playing the piano and organ, and her bridge clubs.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Community Church of Harrington Park, 1 Spring St.
