Obituary
HESSTON - Roberta M. (Enns) Renich died on Monday, April 21,
2014, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born March 7, 1919, in Inman, the daughter of Merle
(Hargis) Enns and Edward H. Enns. Roberta married Paul William Renich on May
15, 1943, in Inman. They were married 68 years.
Roberta earned her bachelor of science degree from Bethel
College in 1941. She also earned her degree as a medical technologist from the
Wichita Hospital in 1943.
Roberta volunteered in the community and was a 60+ year
member of the Bethel College Round Robin friendship circle. She held a
membership with the Hesston United Methodist Church, Hesston.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebekah Lynch, Johnstown,
Colo., and two sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Renich, Salina, and Thomas (Janet)
Renich, Shawnee; grandchildren include, Tamara (David) Piatt, Highlands Ranch,
Colo., Nicole Lynch, Juneau, Alaska, Kristel Renich, Olathe, and Sarah (Darin)
Small, Olathe; and great-grandchildren, Emma Grace and Gavin Piatt, Kamryn
Alainah and Jaida Brielle Small.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her spouse, Paul;
and a sister, Suzanne (Enns) McEntire.
Visitation will be at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home on
Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 1 to 8 p.m., with the family greeting from 6 to
8 p.m. Memorial services will be at Schowalter Villa on Thursday, April 24,
2014, at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Keith Schadel, Hesston United Methodist Church, and
Chaplain Wendy Miller, Schowalter Villa, will be presiding.
The family will have a private burial at the North Inman
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Schowalter
Villa, Bethel College or Kansas Wesleyan University, in care of the funeral
home.
