Obituary
Wanda L. Willems, 63, died Wednesday
(May 18, 2016) at Peabody Health and Rehab in Peabody.
She was born March 8, 1953, in Newton
to Harold and LeeAnn (Sheffler) Wonders. She was a 1971 graduate of
Newton High School and attended First Presbyterian Church in Newton.
Wanda worked for over 20 years as a
payroll clerk for the former Northview Developmental Services in
Newton. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and shared baby blankets with
the newborns in the family. She enjoyed adding to a collection of
miniature shoes, reading and watching TV. Wanda's family was very
important to her and she greatly looked forward to spending time with
her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her mother LeeAnn
Newell of Newton and father Harold Wonders of Newton, daughter Carrie
and Kenny Greever of Newton, son Brandon and Shelley Willems of
Halstead, brother and sister-in-law Charlie and Tawnia Newell of
Hillsboro, brother Kerry Newell and his wife Julie Vosberg of Oregon
and two grandchildren Emily Greever and Tyler Wilson.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday
(May 23, 2016) at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 1
to 5 p.m. Sunday at Petersen Chapel with the family receiving friends
from to 4 p.m. Burial will be in the Restlawn Gardens of Memory,
Rural Newton.
