Obituary
Edward Reimer died on March 21, 2014, at the Harry Hynes
Hospice in Wichita.
He was born on June 16, 1937, to Henry and Maria
(Hildebrand) Reimer. Edward married Barbara Wagner on June 26, 1955, in Walton.
She survives of the home.
Edward held a membership with First United Church of Christ
of Newton. He enjoyed helping his son, Daryl, and spent many hours on the farm.
He and Barbara did a lot of camping in previous years, creating wonderful
memories with their family. Edward loved his family dearly and will be greatly
missed.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger Reimer and Daryl
(Teri) Reimer; a daughter, Janene Reimer-Mabrey; four granddaughters, Angela
Reimer-Ruiz, Ashley Mabrey, Melanie Mabrey and Valerie Reimer; one grandson,
Robert Mabrey; two great-granddaughters, Haylee Ruiz and Kaylee Reimer; sister,
Annie Fulk; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters and
brother-in-laws, Olga (Irvin) Friesen, Edna (Otto) Eck and Irma (Clint)
Robbins; and one brother and sister-in-law, Elmer (Ann) Reimer.
Visitation will be held at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home on
March 25, 2014, from 1 to 9 p.m. Family will greet from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 10:30
a.m., at the First United Church of Christ, 210 E. Fourth, Newton. The Rev.
John Warner will be presiding. Burial will be at the Walton Cemetery.
