Obituary
Gerald E. Sivits, 75, passed away at his home Jan. 29, 2014.
Gerald was born Sept. 15, 1938, in White Pigeon, Mich., to
Thomas and Helen (Leeth) Sivits. He married Patty Ann Sparks on May 8, 1982, in
Newton.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Patty Ann Sivits; sons,
Dennis (Joann) Sivits of Shipshewana, Ind., Joe D. Foudray of Newton, and Kerry
(Tina) Foudray of Newton; daughters, Denise (Dale) Yoder of Berrien Springs,
Mich., LaCinda (Bob) Foudray of Whitewater; his brother, Robert (Joan) Phillips
of White Pigeon, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sivits and
Helen Leeth Carlson; sister, Connie Szlanfueht; and brother, Thomas Sivits.
Viewing and greeting with the family will be at Petersen
Family Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, from 2 to 9 p. m.; family will be
present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014,
at 10 a. m., with family time to follow. Final burial will be on Wednesday,
Feb. 4, 2014, at Parker Cemetery, Cowley County, with the procession leaving
Petersen Family Funeral Home in Newton, at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Arlen Busenitz
will preside over the services.

of Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, Newton.
