Rex Evan Williams
Obituary
Rex Evan Williams, 75, of Newton, passed away at his home on
Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan, who
passed on March 4, 2013; father, Hugh Evan Williams; and mother, Rebecca L.
Nick.
Rex is survived by his sister, Judy Reeves and husband,
Larry of Overland Park; children, K. Dale Williams and wife, Sheri of Canton,
Tracy Williams of Halstead, Tami Cash and husband, Jimmy of Olathe, Douglas
Heim and wife, Patricia of Olathe, Michael Heim and wife, Jodi of Olathe, and
Alison Koehn and husband, Dallas of Galva. Rex was blessed with 17
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Rex was a self-employed Master Mechanic, specializing in
heating and air. He was a loving, strong, wonderful man who loved and cared
deeply for his family and friends. He also loved and enjoyed having pets. He
will be truly missed.
An open visitation to celebrate Rex's life will be from 1 to
6 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Eagles Lodge, 120 W. Fifth St., Newton.
Cremation has taken place, and Rex and his wife, Susan, will
be laid to rest together at Evergreen Cemetery in Emporia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be
made to the Humane Society.
